A physician-led Breast Imaging & General Radiology ecosystem

Breast Imaging & General Radiology is more than a single read. Kearney TeleRadiology supports the full ecosystem around it, interpretation, workflow design, quality processes, accreditation knowledge, technologist training, equipment guidance and operational consulting, so a facility's Breast Imaging & General Radiology program has physician-led support behind every part of it, not just the diagnostic report. The team is led by Kevin Kearney, MD, MBA, whose background includes national leadership over a multistate Breast Imaging & General Radiology program.

That combination of subspecialty interpretation and program-level experience is what separates Kearney TeleRadiology's Breast Imaging & General Radiology support from a standalone reading service.

Interpretation across the Breast Imaging & General Radiology modalities

Kearney TeleRadiology's physician-led team of subspecialty radiologists interprets across the modalities that make up a modern Breast Imaging & General Radiology program:

  • Screening mammography. Routine screening interpretation supporting a facility's ongoing patient population.
  • Diagnostic mammography. Focused interpretation for symptomatic patients and screening callbacks that need a closer look.
  • Breast ultrasound. Interpretation supporting further workup alongside mammography.
  • Breast MRI. Interpretation for high-risk screening and advanced diagnostic workup.

Program and operational support

Beyond interpretation, Kearney TeleRadiology supports the operational work that keeps a Breast Imaging & General Radiology program compliant, well-run and prepared for what's next.

  • Quality processes. Monthly automated physician-monitor QA reporting built into the same infrastructure as interpretation and tracking.
  • Operational consulting. Ongoing guidance as a program's volume, staffing or modality mix changes over time.

Physician leadership

National leadership behind every engagement.

Kevin Kearney, MD, MBA led a multistate telemammography program as National Director for Breast & Abdominal Imaging; and General Radiology before founding Kearney TeleRadiology. That experience, combined with an MBA-trained approach to program operations, is what informs the Breast Imaging & General Radiology guidance Kearney TeleRadiology's physician-led team of subspecialty radiologists brings to each facility, from interpretation quality to accreditation and program growth.

Tracking, letters and inspection data

Mammography tracking is part of Kearney TeleRadiology's Breast Imaging & General Radiology support rather than a separate product. Because tracking, PACS and interpretation run on the same infrastructure, follow-up recommendations flow from the radiologist's report into the tracking queue without re-entry, and your technologist stops manually recording and compiling data throughout the year.

  • Automated BI-RADS letters. Required patient result letters generated in English and Spanish, along with follow-up appointment reminders.
  • Follow-up support. A tracking queue that carries recommendations from the radiologist's report through to patient follow-up.
  • Annual inspection data. The graphs, statistics and audit data state inspectors ask for, accumulated automatically over the year rather than reconstructed beforehand.

A planned future capability: biopsy coordination

Breast biopsy coordination is planned as a future addition to Kearney TeleRadiology's Breast Imaging & General Radiology service line. It is not yet available and is not part of current operations. Facilities interested in this future capability are welcome to raise it during a consultation, so Kearney TeleRadiology understands demand as the offering is developed.
